Director Madhur Bhandarkar is one man who showcases the true story of a society or any personality. Currently he is seriously preparing the stage for yet another realistic film ‘Heroine’, starring Kareena Kapoor.

Looks like this film will be a landmark in Bebo’s career… In this one she is said to play an actress, Mahi Khanna. Through her character the filmmaker is planning to bring alive the characteristics of some of the well-known Hollywood actresses, namely Eva Gardner, Elizabeth Taylor, Marilyn Monroe and Vivien Leigh.

According to sources, Madhur is busy collecting references on these actresses so that it will be helpful for Kareena’s homework. However, he feels sad that unlike Hollywood heroines there are not much biographical details available on our Bollywood actress. Else he claims that he would have made movies on the likes of Madhubala or Meena Kumari. “When a director wants to make a film about an Indian actor or about our movie industry where does he look for references? On the other hand there's no dearth of material written and filmed on Hollywood's icons,” remarked Bhandarkar.

The director reported to have made a three-hour documentary on the Hollywood beauties and he has given it out to Kareena so that she can practice her role well. However he clarifies that Kareena’s character Mahi Khanna is an actress of today, not of yesteryears.

The shooting of ‘Heroine’ is expected to start in December. Currently Kareena is working on 'Ra.1' and 'Golmaal 3', after which she will get down to study the documentary.
